This was our first dishwasher in 50 years of marriage. We had limited space to have it installed and it works so well for us! Love it and does a great job for cleaning/drying dishes, pots/pans
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fits perfectly; quiet; stainless steel tub

We have a Balinese hardwood home in Hawaii without much counter and under cabinet space. Found a craftsman who disassembled the cabinet to the left of the sink, built a box for the new dishwasher and reassembled the cabinet to the left. Since matching our teak counter tops would have been impossible, found an end from a granite installation that's perfect for the coffee area above. Couldn't have done it w/o the 18" DW. Reviews were excellent, especially for the stainless tub.

nice features for an 18 inch

not sure why people are complaining about it not turning itself completely off. I've had dishwashers for years and none of them ever turn themselves completely off. in my home I have an expensive 24 inch which has every feature imaginable but it doesn't leave a light on when it is done. I wouldn't want one that didn't since you would like to know if there are more people in the house whether or not the dishwasher has clean dishes in it.
