This mixer is excellent. The quality is outstanding. I make large batches of butter-cream icing that use to make my old mixer overheat, but the KitchenAid mixer handles it with no problem. It is very simple to use and mine is cobalt blue - it is simply beautiful. I have recommended this to a lot of my friends and it was recommended to me by a friend.

I have wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer for a long time but could not justify the purchase. I had an Oster stand mixer that was nearly 30 years old and still working pretty well. When it finally started acting a little wonky I took the chance to buy the Kitchen Aid. I really love this mixer. It is noticeably better than my old one when it comes to mixing more thoroughly. The only drawback is that whenever you want to add something or scrape down the sides of the bowl you have to life the top to do so. My old mixer had a wider bowl so I could do all that while it was still going. However, the superior mixing makes up for this slight shortfall.
