I received a stand mixer over 25 years ago when I got married but I didn't find it helpful back then. It took up a lot of space and I didn't utilize it much. I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself on Black Friday but I never bothered to wrap it and I didn't wait to open the box. I have only made 3 recipes with it, but I love it when mixing with cold butter or cream cheese. I love the freedom of not having to hold the hand beater and having it splatter all over me. I am interested in seeing additional recipes and how I might modify recipes I currently use to take into consideration the speed at which ingredients get mixed. The splash guard is a great accessory s is the spatula attachment I bought. It was easy to figure out how to use it and to add attachments. I also bought the grater attachment and used it with carrots. The reason I gave it a 4 was that despite cleaning the grater accessory immediately, it did discolor which mildly 'dis'colored my satisfaction.

I have been wanting to purchase a kitchen blender for 10 yrs. & I am loving my new kitchen toy plus attachments. I have had it for a few weeks & it has been used to make cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, biscuits, & a meatball mixture. The espresso color is different & looks really nice on my counertop.

Got this for christmas and just love it, I don't use my hand mixer any more. I find myself making bread from scratch all the time. Leave it sitting out on a kitchen cart and is a very nice decoration.

I love the feature of the tilted head. My last kitchen aid did not have that feature and I had trouble pouring ingredients in bowl. I also like that it is shorter so it sits under the cabinet. My last one was too tall and could not store it. Only thing I don't like is how heavy it is.
