I got this mixer a week ago. So far have only used it to make dough for Indian flatbreads. Does a good job. I now look forward to making dough which used to be the most tedious part of my meal prep. Cleanup is quite easy. My only complaint is that the quality could have been a bit better. The shield is very flimsy and moves around when the mixer is in use. I wish the blades were of stainless steel. Also wish the mixer came with blades for slicing/shredding etc as these attachments cost almost as much as a new mixer. I am hoping this turns out to be a good investment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received as a gift and have enjoyed using it for cookies and fruit breads so far.
I got this as an early Christmas present and I LOVE it!!! I have used it for cookies, ravioli dough and meatballs already. It is a great addition to my kitchen and makes all my cooking and baking projects easier.
I have lusted after a 5-quart Kitchen Aid mixer for five years. I finally decided I deserved one. I bake every weekend, cookies, pies, cakes, bread...if it cooks in the oven I make it. My Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer has made baking a breeze! To be able to walk away while items are mixing is a real time saver. I never have to worry that ingredients will not be well incorporated. No matter how stiff the batter is everything is always evenly distributed during the mixing cycle. The only thing I would suggest is a 6-quart stand mixer with a tilt head. I hope Kitchen Aid is working on one for home consumers.
