I used to use a hand mixer and usually spent more time cleaning up food propelled all over the place than I did mixing. Bought myself a Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas, and I really feel empowered! I'm now mixing up a batch of cookies every week. The motor is powerful enough to work through the heaviest of dough. The design of the combo beater and bowl does a thorough job of mixing without having to do a lot of scraping off the sides. The shield prevents even dry ingredients from being whisked across the counter. Couldn't be happier with my Christmas present. It sure beats sox and underwear! (Pun intended, though I haven't tried beating sox and underwhere with my Kitchenaid. I doubt it would do a good job.)

I love my mixer but the only problem was that my one beater already chipped... Now I have to pack up the whole entire machine to return so I can get a new beater, I wish I could just return the beater attachment.....I'm so bummed that I will have to be without my mixer!
