I have just about every attachment for my Kitchenaid stand mixer, and with all the attachments I've been able to replace and get rid of all of my other appliances. I no longer need a separate food processor or bread machine. This mixer is great for everything!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second KitchenAid mixer. My original 4 1/2 qt. white one is still going strong after 9 years and will be given to my daughter. I upgraded to the 5 qt. red Artisan mixer and love it! I used it today for the first time and it did a great job mixing a cake batter. It was somewhat noisy and squeaky at first, but once the oil circulated well in the motor it got quieter. I expect to get many years of use from this red beauty!

I got this for a early Christmas gift. Ithe worked great for cookie dough and butter cream frosting. I have yet to use the hook (no into making bread) but the other 2 attachments are great. I love that it is heavy and the base doesn't not move at all even on highest speed. the splash guard is a great thing for flour and powder sugar. no more mess.
