I purchased my Kitchenaid right before the holidays. All the cookies that I anticipated to make, I got done . plus more as gifts. The ease of making cookies with a standup mixer is amazing. Loving my Kitchenaid.

Easy to use and clean. Even though it says that the accessories are dishwasher safe, I choose to hand wash them every time. Mixes batter well and saves on mixing and kneading time when making bread. Looks great on my countertop in the cornflower blue color. Best black Friday item I purchased online at the Navy Exchange.

I just love my new KitchenAid® Artisan® Series 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer. In October Superstorm Sandy took just about everything in our house. My old mixer was among that stuff. So, when we finally got back into our house I was using a hand mixer (and really hated it). My husband said we were through enough and since I use my mixer quite alot, he bought me this fabulous new mixer. I love it. It's easy to use and it looks beautiful on my counter top, in my new kitchen!
Pros: It is beautiful, Convenient Features, Design, easy to use, Performance
Cons: not really a con....but it is very heavy.

I can't believe I held off on getting one for so long! It's everything I dreamed of. haha. I had been so afraid the bowl would be too small, it wouldn't get the edges.. all kinds of things. The bowl on this 5 qt. one is huge! I doubled my cookie recipe and would probably have room to actually triple it. I still need to master mixing up the flour without a little bit flying out. LOL. But the pour shield thing is helpful, and I got the beater with the rubber edge scraper thing and I've never had to scrape the edges yet! Love it. I feel like a pro now. And hopefully it will save me from carpal tunnel surgery. haha

At last I have a mixer that does what it is supposed to do. I had previously bought a different, fairly well known brand which was very disappointing. I always ended up having to get the electric hand mixer out to make sure it was prpoerly mixed; which sort of defeats the object. The only thing it was good for was mixing dough.
So I decided to try what seems to be critically acclaimed as the best. The Artisan KitchenAid. I wasn't disappointed. Not only does it look fantastic but it actually does the job! I have wanted one for some time now, and thought I'd waited long enough. Yes, I do think it is worth the money. I cannot wait to now collect all the gadgets that will turn it into a very versatile and helpful 'kitchen aid'.
