[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used the mixer twice since I purchased the kitchenAid 5 quart mixer. I do a lot of baking especially around Christmas time so I’m happy to have this mixer. I enjoyed being able to put all the ingredients in the bowl without having to hold the handmixer the whole time. I do make my own piecrust so having the dough hook is a great plus. I did purchase The flex edge beater attachment separately and I find this attachment a must. KitchenAid should include this particular attachment instead of the other one that they use. Overall I do love this mixer. The reason why I did not give this a five star is because I find putting cups of dry ingredients in the spout of the splash guard awkward. I also find after trying several different methods the splash guard cover isn’t that efficient. I still find flour or wet ingredients spill out of the shoot of the splash guard even when on the lowest speed.
I do love all the other attachments that are available and plan I getting the ice cream attachment and the spiralize her at a later time.

I bought an Artisan mixer in red 13 years ago and I love it. Recently I changed the kitchen colors and wanted a change in color, so I purchased the Apple green. But will store the red one and keep it. I also have a Buttercup color food processor. I have purchased the stand mixer and food processor for my daughter as well in her choice of colors. We love these machines !
