Bought a month ago for holiday baking. My old hand mixer just did not do it for me anymore. Did online research and found this KitchenAid was highly rated. I have made cookies of various textures and raisin bread....all perfect. Easy to use and easy to clean. I keep mine right on my baking table and all admire it.

I have been baking and making pierogi for decades, using hand me down mixers and a hand held Kitchenaid mixer. While the hand held Kitchenaid mixer has served me well, I was always looking at the bigger Kitchenaid mixers, thinking, one day, one day I'll get a really nice mixer. When I finally did, I couldn't believe how quickly and easily the artisan 5 quart mixer worked over the holidays. The cookie doughs came together nicely and the pierogi dough was a dream to work with,making our holy supper a special treat. I followed the directions for making pasta (using my ingredients for the pierogi and their suggestions for speeds and times) and was really pleased with the suppleness of the dough. I'm looking forward to many more years of happy cooking and baking with this mixer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mixer is wonderful, amazing, I just can't say enough about it. I am so glad that I purchased this!!!! So far I have only used it twice and the results were out of sight!!!! It creamed my butter and sugar so fast, and the Flex Edge Beater which is purchased as a separate item really does scrape the edges. My old mixer I had to literally stand their with my spatula the whole time! Best purchase that I have ever made!!

I owned a kitchen aid for 25 yrs and it always served me well. The main use was for baking and especially for Christmas time baking 6-7 batches of gingerbread cookies. The machine always worked well even up to 6-7 cups of flour
The new machine doesn't seem to have the same umph as the old but still gets the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the KitchenAid-Artisan Series 5 a few weeks ago. I have not only used it, with ease, to kneed pizza dough, but to mix ground beef for Salisbury Steak. It plowed through the ground beef mixture like a bulldozer. This is a heavy duty kitchen tool. I look forward to using it for meatloaf and any other receipe that needs mixing.
