I got this about a month ago from my son as a present, & I couldn't be happier! I love my new mixer, have always wanted one of these KitchenAid mixers but could never afford it. It makes mixing dough a breeze with the dough hook, whisks egg whites up nice & fluffy(peaks), I even made the masa(corn dough) for tamales! Can't wait to start baking using this, now my arm won't be all sore from whisking! Would recommend to anyone thinking about buying a new mixer, or even a first stand mixer like for me.

After using my daughter's stand mixer when she lived with me, I felt something was missing once she moved out. It was the Kitchen Aid (Ok and her too). Now that I have my own I can return to the multitude of uses it brought. It is excellent for shredding Smoked Pork and Chicken! I just got the meat grinder and am getting ready to start making my own burger and sausage (did this with her's). The quality and ease of use are beyond comparison. There is an attachment for just about anything you can think of. I have used it for simple mixing, grinding meats, making ice cream, even blending spice rubs. Absolutely my favorite appliance.
