My current Kitchen Aid Mixer was a gift and I am so proud of it. My mother's hand-me-down Kitchen Aid mixer was my first one to use after I married. I received another brand at my kitchen shower and it just did not compare with the Kitchen Aid I grew up with. Mother had purchased a new one and told me to get the old one out of the storage building and I did. Several years later I bought a new Cobalt Blue Kitchen Aid to match my kitchen and used it for at least 30 years. This Artisan, which my cousin bought for me, is larger than my other one and is great for making homemade bread which has really thick dough.

I LOVE this mixer - I would recommend the 5 quart versus the smaller mixing bowl. We purchased this for our second home. I've used my first Kitchenaid mixer for 9 years and love it. I'm hoping this one is of the same or better quality.

I got this in aqua as a wedding gift and I've fallen in love with it. It's got a heaviness that ensures that it won't move while it's being used, the color is beautiful, and the whole thing is easy to clean. I find myself doing a lot of baking and using the attachments that it came with for plenty of other applications. I can't wait to try out the food grinder that someone else gave us, and hope to also get the ice cream maker in the future! Super high quality.
