I always had a hand mixer and then I got my mom's old stand mixer from when I was a child and I loved it then a few months ago my mom purchased me this mixer, loving to bake and make meals nightly for my family this is the best kitchen accessory I have ever owned. It works great for bread to cookies to mashed potatoes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant to use my new machine. I had learned to love mixing by hand...now I cannot believe I ever felt that way. My KitchenAid Artisan 5 is fabulous. I use it to mix everything, even recipes that could easily be mixed by hand. I purchased a matching machine cloth cover, and my Artisan is now, also, a part of my kitchen motif.

Even though my mixer is stiff and rather noisy (when compared to the KA mixer I've had for about 6 years), I still love it's power and dependability. Kitchen Aid mixers will always be my brand of choice.

I never thought I needed a mixer like this because I don't get the chance to bake or cook very often. But, this makes cooking fun and I can't wait to make things or use it for stirring, blending, and anything I can think of. It is easy to use and I love the fact that I can get attachments to broaden the usage. A kitchen changing purchase!!! Or I should say attitude changing. (makes cooking fun)
