I got the KitchenAid 5-Quart Tilt-Head Artisan Series Stand Mixer for my wife for Christmas. She had used an old Sunbeam hand-held mixer for over 25 years. I don't think I could have bought her anything that would have pleased her more. She is absolutely thrilled with the KitchenAid. I think her exact words were "This is a Cadillac compared to an old Chevy". I realize this will probably last her a lifetime, but if it would not, she would never switch brands again!
