I have never owned a stand mixer before, I have always used hand mixers. My husband had suggested to me for years that I get a stand mixer since I am an avid baker but never had room to store the appliance and knew that it would be another item sitting on my counter top. I recently purchased a microwave for my son, the appliance store was having a drawing to win this Kitchenaid Mixer. My husband entered and we won. Even though the mixer is on my counter, you would have to remove it over my dead body now. I LOVE IT!!!!!! It is easy to use and clean up after is a breeze.

I purchased it a year ago. I just used it when I moved into my apartment. I have made cookies and pies so far. FANTASTIC! I wish I had cracked her open sooner. I named my Kitchenaid Elizabeth!

My 38+ year old Kitchen Aid Mixer quit working. I think I wore it out. So I replaced it with a new one in the Artisin Series. The motor is quiet, powerful and easy to control. My old attachments work just fine on the new one. I am very pleased.

Quiet, Awkward

I received this as a Christmas gift after using my Oster mixer for 25 plus years. This mixer is pretty and quiet, but I find it awkward to use at best and a lot of work at worst. The design of the bowl is such that there are usually unstirred ingredients left at the bottom-regardless of speed used. If I have to hand stir after mixing, I wind up frustrated with the whole process. I would not recommend this mixer.
