I've never really enjoyed or had an interest in cooking. We recently remodeled our kitchen and I had to have this beautiful accessory for my counter! I didn't realize that once I purchased this gal, I'd actually want to use it, like everyday! We bought it about a month ago and I've had so much fun learning how to bake with it. Cookies, brownies, a 6 layer cake, dog treats, anything that I can use my mixer for! We even bought the spiralizer attachment and have been in spiralizer heaven. I highly recommend this mixer anyone.

My favorite kitchen appliance!

My husband surprised me with a brand new bright red Artisan Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Christmas. I was so excited to open the box. I reused the box a day later for a gift for a family member. Was the recipient ever disappointed to realize it wasn't a Kitchen Aid! I love the quiet hum as I make cookie or bread dough. If this one lasts as long as the last, I won't ever need to buy another stand mixer! Thank you, Kitchen Aid!

I've had my mixer for about 10 years, and I absolutely love it! I can't believe how quickly it works with tasks I used to do by hand: kneading bread dough, mixing up stiff cookie dough and cake batters, etc. In fact, it's so quick and effortless that I'm usually dissappointed that I don't get to 'play with' my mixer for longer! It does an excellent job of kneading bread dough, creating the loftiest and most beautiful loaves with a perfectly open and chewy crumb. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead 5 is that, brand new out of the box, the head was too loose and wobbly. With my first batch of bread dough, it bucked and danced all over the countertop and sounded like it wanted to come apart. My mother bought the fancier limited edition one with the glass bowl and metallic cherry red color, and it was exactly the same way, so I'm guessing this is how they set them up at the factory, for some reason. Luckily, I found a semi-local repairman (in my state, anyway) who was able to tighten mine up, and he only charged me about $4 for it. It was an inconvenience to be without it for two weeks, after getting to use it only once. Now, I can't find the guy to get my mom's done, and I don't know how he did it. He was listed as the only Kitchenaid service center in my state. I'm not very pleased about having to have a brand new, expensive piece of equipment worked on before I could even use it. Other than that, I have no complaints, whatsoever. This is a very heavy duty machine that looks and feels like it was made to last forever! My lovely mother-in-law has an old Hobart-era KA mixer that is ancient(!), and it still runs like a champ. I'm pleased to say the components of mine appear to be of the same excellent quality as hers. After having the head tightened up, you will never regret buying one of these!

Excellent product for daily use especially in baking bread

I got this stand mixer for Christmas and been using it daily for bread making. The bread machine is no longer on my countertop. I use the stand mixer with various recipes and even leave the dough in it for proofing and punching the air.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I changed out from the pro to this machine and love it. It actually mixes everything in the bowl, which the more expensive pro did not. The tilt head rather than lift is easier to use, both in adding ingredients and emptying.
