The drug industry would call this an "off schedule" use!
I bought this for the purpose of mixing floor topping cement mixes to repair my condo floor. Major project, totally infrastructure and totally hidden. But now one of my tool inventories for dealing with floor problems.
And now that it is the house, It is a far better mixer than I have ever used in the kitchen!
Pros: easy to use
Cons: not sure the lock down button is all that intutive

I bought this product a month ago, I always had my eye on it. I am very happy that I invested into this stylish 5-Quart Stand Mixer. It does so much and very handy. My kitchen is not so big, although I certainly found room for it. I recommend to every house hold to have it. This product allows you to have more variety in your recipes.

Bad Bowl Design

I bought my stand Artisan mixer at the Kitchen Aid Factory. I have the stainless steel bowl with the handle on it. Because of the shape of the bowl, the mixer attachments cannot reach the bottom of the bowl, so I have to always stop and mix by hand some. My cheap mixer worked better -- but this one LOOKS great on my countertop!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased my kitchen aid stand mixer only a month ago, but what a difference it has made as my new kitchen helper.. I can now mix batches of cookies in minutes without hurting my wrist. And let me tell you how many pizzas we have made because using the mixer dough hook is such a great helper too. Makes me ask myself why did I wait so many years to buy my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Thanks Kitchen Aid for my new kitchen helper!

I received this stand mixer as a wedding gift. It makes baking so easy & it is a ton of fun! I made several loaves of bread and biscotti so far with it. All has turned out great. I'm excited to get some more attachments soon! Also it's extremely beautiful, I love the Bordeaux color.

I have been wanting one of these mixers for so long that it's a dream come true for me. I do alot of cake baking and this just makes it all the more fun.
