I have used a hand mixer for most of my life. I received this as a gift from my husband and it is probably one of the best gifts I have ever had! I made my Christmas cookies and couldn't believe how quickly everything mixed together! I thought that I surely hadn't run the mixer long enough! But no, it was that quick to mix everything together. I loved the different speeds and how easy it was to use and clean up. I can hardly wait to try it on other recipes. We also purchased a meat grinder accessory and I'm anxious to try it out. If you are looking for an affordable and powerful mixer, this KitchenAid mixer is the best!

I go this because I really do a lot of baking and needing something that would hold up to what I was going to put it through. First off I do not know if I just got a lemon or what but my bowl was not made to have the markings in it to lock so first time I turned it on the bowl flew and nicked the mixer. Called and was told I did not lock it it and I stated the bottom was flat and told noway that could be so I just got a new bowl. Second the lock does not stayed locked let me put cold butter in the bowl and it moves to the unlocked mark. Third I have to keep a hammer on hand when I use it because the little silver pin works its way out, can not make bread with this for that reason or any hard cold product like buttetr. This mixer works great for just mixing really nothing more
