Husband surprised me for Christmas. My old Kitchen Aid has lasted almost 40 yrs, but the motor seemed to be slowing down. Many updated products use cheaper materials. New one looks & works like my old one. Well except new one is red, which I love.

I've had this stand mixer for about 6 months now and I love it. It's easy to use and durable. The color is fantastic. The size is great for one or two batches of cookies! Such a great investment if you love to bake.

Solid mixer, versatility can't be beat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to buy a mixer because the last one I owned walked off my countertop (different brand) while making bread dough during a minute where I had my back turned.
My local store had tons of Kitchenaid mixers and attachments. Since then I've used it for light mixing and love the heavy, solid build. The ice cream bowl (an add on I bought) is well designed and large.
When in use this mixer has a precision feel to it, while I may not be describing it well here anyone who has used it will agree. Things mix or whisk up quickly and smoothly. There's no 'play' or slop in it's operation, that's another way to put it.
The only oddity I noticed is when slowing down I can get a noise if I jump to off instead of clicking through the speed settings.

Love this mixer, have had other less expensive ones, hated them, ended up regretting those purchases. This tilting stand mixer is medium duty, not a commercial model and ir OERFECTFOR our home. Works flawlessly, easy to clean and use, it is beautiful and I love having it on our counter top 24/7. We make a lot of pizza dough and pasta, it cannot be easier to use. We can not wait to get some accessories for it.
