I am so happy that I bought the bigger mixer after 32 years

I received the 4.5 quart mixer as a shower gift from my husband's grandmothers 32 years ago. My daughter just moved into her first apartment and I am passing it on to her. I was ready for the bigger mixer and that is why I upgraded.

This is my second Kitchen Aid mixer. I gave my older one to a family member who was moving into their first apartment. When it came time to get a new one, there was no question that it was going to be a Kitchen Aid. Love the new mixer - it has more power, but still retains all of the features that make it the best on the market. All of my old attachments still work as well. I will always have a Kitchen Aid mixer, and use it often!

Having a high-powered mixer that is completely hands-free is the only way to bake. No metal blades to worry about. The kids love to help and they can because it's safe. My only complaint is that the first time we used it to make cookies, it turned the dough grey. I searched the issue and found out it was (harmless) residue from the bowl. Had I known I would have scrubbed the bowl with baking soda before using. But once I gave it a good scrub it never came up again.

I bought this mixer as a Christmas gift to myself! It's so beautiful. All of the amazing accessories! I'm making my own dough. I'm not wrestling with mixing cookie dough anymore. I love that I don't have to keep scraping the sides of the bowl anymore. It's versatile and easy to clean. When I put my 40 year old Sunbeam mixer next to it before recycling it, I thought why did I wait so long?
