[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm like other cooks, I have always wanted a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I received it as a Christmas present from a family member. I was so excited and I love, love it!! It makes baking a pleasure and I would highly recommend the Kitchen Aid Mixer to everyone.

I read many reviews- and read up on the website- and enquired of friends before I made my purchase. I could not believe some of the negative comments made here- when the website clearly explains these things out. I LOVE my mixer! My friends kept saying that as I continue to replace my cheaper purchases I could have bought this many times over. This is also how I, as a single, can justify such a seemingly extravagant purchase. I am grateful I took the plunge. I bought the 5 qt with the metal bowl and spout. LOVE that piece of equipment. Trial and error dictates you cannot dump 2 cups of flour in with it...but you shouldn't do that, anyway. 1/4- 1/3 cup at a time and it is AWESOME! The beater with the spatula edge? GET THAT! There are no words for how much work that does for you. LOVE that idea! I bought the glass bowl as well. No, the spout doesn't fit it. Who cares? I LOVE the measurements on that bowl. SUCH a help! I used to love cooking/ baking before. Now it really is more of a joy! The first weekend I baked 3 different cookie recipes- and a cheesecake just to watch it work. My coworkers really got treated! Honestly. You'll wonder why it took you so long to do this! Now...maybe to try homemade pasta? I think I need an attachment...

I am 67 and still do a lot of cooking.My daughter and sister tried to get me to invest in a Kitchen Aid years ago but didn't think I needed it. Well, I was wrong and so wish I had listened to them..Life would have been so much easier and baking much more fun

I bought my kitchenaid artisan series 5 wondering if it would be yet another appliance that I would hardly use. Not at all - I love it, it's easy to clean, it makes mixing so easy, my cakes so light and my meringues so fluffy. It truly is the best.
