[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this beautiful Artisan Series 5 Stand Mixer in marvelous Red for Christmas from my son and his family. It is so Awesome! It mixes eggs frothy, it creams butter and sugar with a touch, and it blends meat and vegetables with such ease that meatballs and other food quickly mix together without effort. I don't know How i was cooking without it for so long. My son realized I do everything "the old fashioned way" and said he didn't want me to work so hard. bless his Heart. My cooking has truly become a pleasurable process rather than a painful ordeal. I can't wait for sales to explore other attachments, particularly the shredder/slicer.
Thank you Kitchen Aid to your history of creating remarkable machines and modern improvements. I Love It!!

I should not have to fight with trying to get my bowl released from the base. I did just a light mixture and it took two of us to get it unstuck.

So versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it for baking bread, pizza dough, whipping cream and even mixing up ground beef for meatballs. It's consistently working well. I borrowed my sisters for years, when she took it back I missed it too much so had to get my own. :) And it's a beautiful piece of art on my counter.

I have wanted one of these since I saw my girlfriend use hers. I finally got one for my birthday and I can't stop using it. Once you have a kitchen aide you will never use your chopper or hand mixer again!

I don't know why but I feel like owning a Kitchenaid mixer makes ownership of your kitchen official. It also makes me feel like I take my work in the kitchen seriously. I have wanted one for years and I finally was able to get one. I love the mixer itself. I have not owned one before and I worry when I use it that something doesn't sound right (it's a bit loud) but hopefully I'm just being paranoid. I purchased the yellow to remember my grandmother, who was a master of her own confections. The color is beautiful, and honestly I don't typically care for yellow, but it was her favorite and it's versatile and fun at the same time. Unfortunately I have absolutely NO counter space in my kitchen to be able to leave it out so I have to pack it up and store it in between use. I think the bowl is just too big. If I'm able to buy a smaller bowl to fit my mixer I will because the 5 quart is a bit cumbersome. And unfortunately it's good that I still have a hand mixer because when trying to whisk 4 egg whites, the bowl was too big and beater didn't hit the bottom enough to do anything to the eggs but barely graze the top of them. Otherwise I'm still really excited about it!
