I use this machine a couple of times a week to mix and knead my homemade bread. It successfully handles up to 9 cups of flour in the 10 cup capacity bowl, but the dough does creep up and around the top of the hook. My only complaint is that the metal ring at the base of the mixing head will not stay on, so I have had to leave it off. The machine gets hot after 8-10 minutes of mixing very stiff dough, but handles impressively well. I have read that the fancier machines have more problems, like the bowl lift being difficult to operate. I like the basic features, strong motor, and large bowl design. Sometimes less is more. I love my machine and it has made my bread making effortless. This machine is a great value (especially when on sale or if you purchase a less popular color) and I would recommend it to the home baker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third mixer. My first one (1966) is now in my granddaughters kitchen. The second one was my mom’s (1998, this was my mom’s second one, first, 1960, is in my daughters kitchen ) and is going to my second granddaughter. These are amazing mixers and am looking forward to many more happy mixing years!!!
