I got this two months ago for my birthday and I'm so glad I finally made the change from hand mixer to stand mixer. It's so much easier on my rheumatoid arthritis.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got this mixer for Christmas and I love it. The color I wanted was hard to find, but other than that it's great. However, there's an attachment that assists you when adding flour and other ingredients. It would be really nice if there was some way to attach it to the bowl. It's really cumbersome the way it is.
I bake a lot. I've been dying to get one of these for a few years, and my husband finally decide to get me one for Christmas. It works like a charm it mixes dough and kneads bread dough well, the Tilt head is awesome for getting the bowl in and out and changing out the attachment heads. We also got the pasta attachment set, because I've always wanted to make my own pasta and now I can't stop! Awesome, if you get the chance to get one, do it.
Outstanding performance...I waited too long to purchase!

My wife's father bought her mom a KitchenAid stand mixer over 30 years ago. She had taken cake decorating lessons, and started making cakes for sale. Growing up with this, my wife has hinted to me for many years how great it would be to have a mixer like her moms. I really never paid attention to this desire, but in November I purchased one for her Christmas gift. I decided to give it to her early because she always bakes a ton of Christmas cookies. I was a fool to wait this long. My favorite is oatmeal-raisen. I can't believe the difference then when she'd make them with her old hand mixer. There were no lumps of brown sugar that I was used to! Double batches are now a breeze! My wife just loves it. I waited too long to buy it for her....the only hazard I see is I will probably be gaining weight! My advise to husbands...listed and act when she asks for a KitchenAid mixer!!
