I've wanted one of these since childhood days in my grandmothers kitchen. My fiance bought this for me for our anniversary (it was a wedding registry item). So far, I've made quick bread and twice baked potatoes and both jobs took MUCH less time. This is a high quality machine, which I'm so glad to have.

My mom has had her Mixer for 30 years and it is still going strong. She gave me the 5-qt Artisan for Christmas this year. It has become one of the most used appliances in my kitchen!

Gluten free baking

I've had to do some gluten free baking with it, which is much harder to kneed than normal baking, and it worked wonders. My bread rose at least an 1 1/2 inches higher!

Next to my ancient cast iron skillet the KithenAid's stand mixer is a must have for any kitchen. If you are on-the-fence about buying one, my advice is - BUY IT! I am looking forward to start collecting the optional attachments.

I love this mixer! It is very easy to use. I like the feature of locking the mixer in place and have the easy pour lid so that I don't get spattered.
Pros: Performance, Innovative, Design, easy to use
