Great for bread

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girlfriend gave me it for Christmas so I could make bread again as I have arthritis in my hands. Grandchildren love the pizza dough I make.

I love to bake and this mixer will help me do it all so much better and easier. It mixed a a large batch of oatmeal raisin cookie dough like it was nothing. My old mixer would get bogged down and not mix completely. This one did it perfectly. I'll be using the dough hook next to make honey wheat bread. I'm sure it'll do s great job on it also.

I really don't know how I used to get things done without this mixer. I sware! I use it for everything. Especially love shredding up cheese with the Slicer/Shredder attachment - instead of buying store bought shredded cheese with all those added ingredients. Mash potatoes are a breeze on thanksgiving with the wire whip. And cookie baking season is way less stressful.

While KitchenAid is a great appliance maker, and I love their products. They just don't make them like they used to. I had my first mixer when I was married 25 years ago - that thing has lasted me through everything. I finally handed it down to my 23 year old son who is in the Air Force. We bought a new one and it just doesn't perform the same way, it's not as sturdy, doesn't seem as powerful for sure.
