I've been making cookies and scones for years at Christmas. My new Kitchen Aid Mixer makes everything easier - especially mixing the heavy dough for cut out cookies. My husband said that he suggested years ago that I buy a Kitchen Aid Mixer and I should have listened to him then! I'm looking forward to all the other things I plan to make.

I received this for Christmas and so far I love it! I've had the same Sunbeam hand mixer for the last 14 years, and although it has obviously held up, I'm happy to upgrade. :) I don't do a TON of baking, and I'm honestly trying to not eat too many sweets and breads, but with four kids in the house, the inevitable birthday cake/cookies/brownies have to get made! I've also been experimenting with homemade bread as a healthier, preservative-free alternative to store bought. So far so good!

I love my new stand mixer and I would be giving it five stars, but I'm not sure if mine has an issue or not. When I use it for thick batters such as cookie dough, I am following the directions as far as what speeds to change it to at what intervals, but once it gets to a certain thickness it's like it would literally come out of the bowl if it wasn't locked in place. It's almost like the body of the top part of the mixer literally jumps while it's processing... So again, not sure if that's normal or not, but the overall product is fantastic and I love it!!
