[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because it became increasingly difficult to hold an electric hand mixer for an extended period of time. Generally speaking, I like this new mixer. It's easy to operate but I'm not thrilled that the highest speed isn't that powerful. The 6 qt size is too big and heavy so I didn't purchase that one. I love the KitchenAid mixer's look and for basic mixing, it meets my needs. Personally, I don't think the highest speed is fast enough to whip egg whites sufficiently based on looking at it at work. I've produced a lot of impressive baking creations for years so for your everyday user who depends on store bought mixes, this KitchenAid stand mixer is fine but for me, who makes everything from scratch, I wish it could have the more powerful speeds within this size of a mixer.

I love my mixer. My hubby gave it to me early. I was making Christmas cookies when my old hand mixer went up. That day my daughter and I made 32 dozen cookies. The mixer is easy to use looks great easy clean up. I have recommended this mixer to family and friends.
