I started selling my baking goods from my house. I all was using my sunbeam mixmaster. But the order got heavy and my old sunbeam mix master couldn't hold up. I bought the Kitchenaid Artisan series. To help speed up mixing time and mix my cake batter better. Wow I fall in love on the first time I use it. It was powerful and faster then my old mixer. It even cut down how many time I had to stop and scrape the side of the bowl. The Kitchenaid accessories the beater that scrapes the side of the bowl helping you to mix evenly. The dough hook mix heavy bread dough and cookie dough great and the wire whip give my eggs the extra whip it needed. The pouring shield saved my clean up time. If you ever made your own icing or frosting you know that powder sugar and coco powder will fly all over your kitchen if you don't pour is slowly in the mixer. The pouring shield help me forget about pouring the powder sugar and coco in slow and give my easy way to pour my ingredients. I am totally in love with my kitchenaid Artisan series. Thank you

Attachment height needed to be adjusted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and was happy to replace my old KitchenAid but I don't like the fact that it came with the height of the attachments off, especially the dough hook, which left a huge amount of flour in the bottom of the bowl. This adjustment should have been done in the factory before shipping. I especially don't like that I had to go to YouTube to figure out the optimal height. That's why I'm not rating this higher.

I just love using it...in fact, I know I'm going to gain a few pounds as I now look for any excuse to use this wonderful appliance! I put off buying this for a long time. I had no idea how much of a difference it would make. It's like the difference between a Mercedes and an Army Jeep. The KitchenAid is quiet, smooth and doesn't bog down. This is an investment that has paid off for me.
