I've ALWAYS wanted a stand mixer! Before Christmas I was mixing up a large bowl of cookie dough with my 20 year old hand mixer and the motor overheated and completely stopped. I was so upset since 4 of my grandchildren were on their way over to bake cookies together. Have you ever tried to mix a triple batch of sugar cookie dough with a spoon?!? Not easy and not fun! The next day was my birthday so in a "wild and crazy" moment I went to my computer and bought myself a lovely red artisan Kitchen Aid 5 quart stand mixer. Absolutely the BEST birthday present!! My entire family is reaping the benefits of this mixer....lovely cookies, cakes and even homemade bread!! I LOVE this mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought this for helping make bread, next up one week later the pasta attachment which is life changing from a hand set, I can only wonder what comes next, oh yes I know one for our daughter! who has wished for a kitchen aid the past 10 years.
