My wife has wanted one for ten years...myself as well. I purchased it about a week and a half ago for our 10 year anniversary, though we just used it for the first time yesterday the reputation of these kitchen machines speaks volumes...more than any review I can write. We're both extremely happy to have one in our kitchen and we look forward to the many years it will be a part of our kitchen

Not as good as the last one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mixer to replace the exact same model that I have had for more than 30 years. I suppose it should be no surprise that is is not as good. The motor is not as strong and the cord is much shorter. I am very disappointed in these cost cutting changes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased the KitchenAid Stand Mixer and the pasta attachments to make our own pasta. I've used the mixer to make pizza dough, but we have used the pasta maker to make our own pasta. We've made pasta several times and have ventured into making ravioli two times. The equipment is much better than the cook, but each time we get a little bit better by learning from our mistakes the time before. We look forward to many years of using our mixer as we experiment with all forms of cooking. My wife and I are both retired and look forward to cooking together on the weekends!

I purchased the Artisan stand mixer in the Majestic Yellow and love it. I was not sure if I had a use for the KitchenAid mixer since my children are grown and on their own. It makes baking much more fun than a chore. I which I had one when my children were young and my dream was to one day have a KitchenAid mixer. My dream has come true! I like the Majestic yellow, it is a clear yellow vs the Buttercup which is a darker golden yellow.
