I bought this about a couple of months ago and it made my baking experience wonderful. I've used it to make pizza dough, cakes and whipped cream. It's definitely worth the money!

My old mixer just didn't do a good job on some of the things I like to make, particularly cookies with a very thick dough. I was tired of battling the dough and not getting any enjoyment out of baking. The KitchenAid mixer is so powerful that it handles the dough with no problem and no battles!

I have never had to replace a Kitchen Aid mixer! I received my first one (a six quart) more than 30 years ago and it is still going strong. I upgraded to a more stylish, heavier, newer model about 6 years ago and love it just as much. Since we have two seasonal homes and a home base the original mixer is now at our summer home and the larger upgrade is at the home base. Two years ago we purchased a winter home in Florida and after using a much lesser mixer since then, I have just purchased a 5 quart mixer and am now, again, a very happy cook!

I've always wanted one but never wanted to spend the money. I'm not a huge baker so I couldn't justify the expense. This was an early Christmas gift to myself and I'm wishing I would done this years ago. I use it even more than I thought due to the ease of use and clean up. Plus, it's not just for baking uses.
I know the color doesn't change how well something works, but there are a ton of colors to choose from. I LOVE the one I've got!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the KitchenAid-Artisan Series 5 Qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer for Christmas and absolutely love it!!
Once you use this mixer you will never want to use any other!! It is very easy to use, with no mess like my hand mixer, and you can buy so many different attachments for just about all your needs. You can't go wrong with this product plus the KitchenAid name speaks for itself!

I bought this last winter as a retirement gift to myself and didn't use it until a year later. I wish I opened it up last year when I was doing holiday baking; at that time, I thought it would be faster to make cookies my old way than it would to learn to use the KitchenAid mixer. This year, my KA mixer thoroughly creamed the butter with sugar in minutes, then mixing in the rest of the ingredients took only another few minutes. Also very little mess using the Pour Shield. Also, I bought the Flex-Edge Beater and it makes scraping down the inside of the bowl one less thing to do. The laborious part was spooning out the dough balls! I made 5 kinds of cookies, about 5 dozen for each, in one day. The KA mixer is a great time saver and minimizes wear and tear on your arm and hands, especially if you have some kind of repetitive strain injury like carpal tunnel. Now, all I need is another oven so I can keep those cookies baking!
