I received this as a wedding shower gift about 2 months ago and my fiance and I absolutely love it! We have made biscuits, cookies, breads, and cakes with it and everything has turned out great! The only complaint I have, which is small, is that if you don't have a lot of dough or batter mixing inside of the bowl, some of the ingredients get pushed up around the edges and the attachment doesn't get them back down; you have to scrape it back down with a spatula.

My family surprised me with my Artisan Mixer and it is hands down the best mixer on the market. I cook and bake often so having this in my kitchen has reduced prep time tremendously. Cant wait to get the additional attachments!

Beater disappointing!!

I have purchased many Kitchenaid products but am beginning to think I made the wrong decision on this product.I purchased the beater with the rubber edge,as I used one on my prior mixer and it worked great..not on this one. The blade does not scrape the sides..a waste of money.The tilt head,although locked,vibrates during mixing.It does not perform as well as my old one which stopped working after 8 years..of course it is used at least three times a week.I bake frequently for friends and family and it gets a lot of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
