I bought this mixer 2 weeks ago and I have used it 3 times for making cookies and it did an excellent job each and every time. I just can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. I have been mixing things by hand with a spoon or hand mixer for the last 30 years and there were always some ingredients at the very bottom that didn't get mixed in with the rest of the ingredients. As soon as I finished mixing my first batch of cookies that was the first thing I looked for. I wanted to see just how good this mixer really is and it lived up to my expectations completely. There were no ingredients left at the bottom....all of them were perfectly mixed in...yay!!! Another plus for getting a stand mixer is that if you have arthritis it makes it a lot easier on your joints to let the mixer do the work. I plan to use it for so many other things, but I HAD to get these Christmas cookies made first!!!

Disappointed head lock mechanism

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Somewhat disappointed. The head lock mechanism does not stayed in a lock position under continuous paddle motion. I needed to cream softened butter/cream cheese for 5 minutes the head lock mechanism disengages with minimal vibration. I have a 30 year old kitchen aid professionals refurbished and never had one issue. My husband paid full price. Additionally the pour shield does no sit securely on the bowl rim nor locks in place. If it is mean to float that’s fine but find it obstructing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
