I look for reasons to use this mixer because it makes anything I do with it so easy. Previously, I had balked at purchasing a stand mixer, thinking that all stand mixers were overkill for small cooking projects that require mixing, but this one has convinced me otherwise. Power and versatility are the product's best features, and I love that the splash guard reins in that power to help prevent me from spinning cake batter over all the walls in my kitchen. I also purchased the mixing head with a scraper built into it, which means that I don't have to stop the mixer to scrape down the sides of the bowl. The only complaint I've had is actually also a benefit: This mixer is so heavy that I have to use two hands and considerable strength to move it, but that heft also keeps the mixer steady at high speeds. All in all, I've fallen in love with the Artisan Stand Mixer.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

I have had my eye on the Artisan Mixer for awhile, I mean years...so once I saw the one I bought for my daughter-in-law, decided to get one for myself. I enjoy cooking and baking, and this really does take the cake. It works like a dream, and can't imagine why I waited so long to get one for myself. Very pleased, and love the color!

Cons: heavy so don't recommend moving it much.
