Can't complain too much, because my mixer was a gift, but I would not have purchased the tilt-head version. It's a bit chinsy. It's not all that practical for adding ingredients or getting a spoon in the bowl. Getting the bowl out of the twist lock is super ridiculous and very poorly designed. The bowl gets stuck, especially the glass bowl with its cheesy plastic locking mechanism. A bowl lift version makes much more sense. Overall, I wish I'd returned it and ponied up the extra for the better mixer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
