I decided that this would probably be the last mixer I ever bought so decided to get a good one. I just wish I had done this years ago! Had a bit of an issue with adding things with the pour guard until I realized I needed to use a smaller measuring cup to get it in the slot.
Would like to have had more clear directions on the speeds. Still don't really understand what speed is for what especially with the attachments.
Still--I LOVE IT!!!!!!

I received this as a bridal shower gift, and I am very excited to finally own a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer! I had put one of the more affordable models on my bridal registry. This is the first Stand Mixer I have ever owned. So far I have mixed cakes, mashed potatoes and mixed the custard base for bread pudding. The instruction manual was fairly easy to understand, and the parts are all easy to use. My only complaint is that it's tricky to screw and unscrew the bowl to the base of the unit, which is why I give 4 stars.

I love to bake and it was getting more difficult and almost impossible to mix anything by hand. Using my little hand mixer was messy and not really too efficient. My husband bought me a Kitchen Aid and it has changed everything. It does everything that I was not able to do, cleans up easily, and has become something I absolutely could not get along without. My husband has his own kitchen in part of the garage - he has become an excellent lefse maker and the Kitchen Aid has become his favorite appliance also. Thank you so much for a great product that has made baking fun once again. ( I am 69 years old and having a lot of pain and trouble with both my wrists and hands - the Kitchen Aid is really the best "aid" for me.)
