This has been a great addition to my Kitchen, and is used for making cookies, cakes, dough, also have the meat grinder, juicer, and 3 other attachments. I would not hesitate to purchase another. Love the Empire Red on my dark countertop, going to get the pasta attachments later. Thanks Kitchen Aid.

Additionally, the part where the 3-piece attachments attaches, makes some black substance after wash.

Pouring shield bad design

This is my 3rd kitchen aid stand mixer. I love these but someone decided to change the pouring shield and it is not secure and liquids splash out from under the rim. That being said, I may have just gotten a bad one but I have never had this problem with my mixers in the past. The design is poor. I would not recommend buying this shield.
