I had a Ultra Power model which is 300watts and just bought the Artisan. I wanted the extra power and I wanted a pretty colour...... my new Artisan sounds so unhealthy when mixing anything other then pancake batter. Not sure if mine is defective or what.... Im continuing to use it though. Other then the unhealthy motor sound I love my kitchen aid and will never be without one!

I bought my Kitchen Aid mixer a little over a month ago, it is the second mixer I have had and I can't say enough great things about it. The mixer makes kneading bread a cinch! I would recommend this product to anyone who does a lot of cooking and baking, it just makes life easier.

This is my favorite stand mixer! I have one at my house and in my vacation house. I cook a bake a lot, and I can't function without this stand mixer. Yes, it's pricier than some other brands, but It's far more durable and a LOVE all of the attachments. The one I bought most recently has a handle on the bowl, which is really nice (I wish my other one had that). It seems like a simple took, but there are so many subtle ways to adjust this so it's juuuust right, and the attachment make it extra functional in a BIG way.
I also love all of the colors - I have a red one and a blueish/teal one.
Only downside (if you can call it that) is it's quite heavy. This is also a great feature because it adds to the sturdiness and it's definitely not going to slide around on you, even when mixing tough stuff.
Even though I cook and bake a lot, this is such a user friendly appliance that it can be a staple for any one's kitchen. I use it more than the microwave!
