[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been searching for a mixer for some time. “Research” led me to KitchenAid and had only to decide which one. The 5 qt Artisan Tilt-Head has turned out to be everything I’d hoped. Additionally, I found one at a great price! Could not be happier...And the Empire RED looks GREAT in my kitchen! I’ve already used it several times and cannot wait to start adding attachments.

Just bought this as a Christmas Gift. Used it once so far to make a pound cake. Easy to use on all of the various speeds. Nice to have a handle and a splash/pour guard. Cake came out great!

Thought the Kitchenaid would make my life easier...

Used the machine many times with both the whisk and the paddle attachments but neither beat the butter in with the sugar. I am always left with clumps of butter in my batters that do not bake well resulting in a greasy baked good. On another note, I have used the ice cream attachment which works wonderfully and love it! I seem to use it less and less and would never recommend anyone to purchase this blender!
Pros: easy to use
Cons: doesn't beat butter well
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought an Artisan mixer about 3 years ago. I love it so much that I convinced me fiancée that HE needed one as well. Now - no matter where I am I know I have a dependable, easy to use, time-saving mixer whenever I decide to mix up a batch of goodies!! Would highly recommend this for a great Christmas present!!
