[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave my mothers old KitchenAid to my daughter when she married and moved out. That mixer was and still is a workhorse that just keeps on truckin.
My new KitchenAid is good mixer, but I already had to do a warranty replacement. It's clear they do not make these like they used to. In times past, a KitchenAid mixer not only worked like a beast. It felt solid, and just like the powerhouse mixer it had the reputation for being.
Now though, these mixers are still good, but you can tell...they feel flimsier, not as solid. While they get the job done, I don't entirely trust the workmanship or the manufacturing. A sad state of affairs for a brand that has a reputation for solid countertop appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This mixer is a belated wedding gift from some of my relatives. Aside from its weight, which proved problematic for me at 25 weeks pregnant, the mixer is everything I wanted. I made everything from brownies to guacamole for the Superbowl, and clean up is far easier than I expected.
