I just bought the Artisan mixer and used it the weekend after receiving it and it made mixing a cake so much easier than standing there with a hand mixer and I got the ice cream attachment and made homemade ice for the first time in a long time and it's better than I remember!

The KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer is wonderful. It is sturdy, does the job perfectly, and makes baking a pleasure. I used to avoid certain recipes because of how long I would have to stand at the counter holding my electric mixer. Sometimes I actually put a book on the counter to read just so I wouldn't go batty waiting for the eggs or cream to get to the stiff peak stage. All of that has changed. This week, I made a huge batch of orange meringue cookies and peppermint meringue cookies for a party, and it was a snap with the stand mixer. No stamina required :) A fun plus is that this machine comes in tons of beautiful colors, too. Great buy.
