I absolutely love my kitchen aid stand mixer. It's awesome. Perfect size and works great!! I use it for everything. Including mashed potatoes. Would never trade it for any other mixer and will always tell people to go with kitchen aid!!

I've always wanted one of these stand mixers, and was very excited when I was given this one as a gift. I immediately set out to use it as much as possible, making it a point to bake and mix like a crazy person.
The mixer works as well as you would expect. With some doughs it sounds like it might rip itself apart, but it kneads dough pretty well. The beats butter for cremes like nobody's business. Can't wait to try making a meringue.
My only critique, and it may seems silly, considering the alternative (doing it by hand) is that the mixer still can make a mess: the splashguard is not totally effective and sometimes slips off the lip of the bowl. At times dough will work its way up the dough hook and get on the bottom of the mixer, which then requires cleaning off. No matter how well I think I've cleaned it, detailed the cracks and crevices of the stand, I always find some little bit that escaped my attention. I know... silly.
Overall a great blender/mixer. Wonderful addition to anyone's kitchen! Enjoy!
