Pros and Cons, but overall: I would buy it again!

The best thing about this mixer is that the flour does not fluff all around my kitchen when dumped in, thanks to the lid! The bowl easily handles double batches! It mixes well and much faster than previous mixers I've had. It is heavy but it's expected with that size motor. It has a large footprint but makes up for that with ease of use! Just one concern: it jumps around for a bit when starting with ingredients that are not totally liquid, such as room temperature chunks of butter. Overall consideration: I would certainly recommend this mixer!

I bought this Empire Red Artisan Mixer for myself as a Christmas gift. The color is GORGEOUS! The mixer is all metal with the exception of the mixing shield with is plastic. I believe the actual mixer is made America which is one of the reasons that it is expensive. BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! I am 60 years young and have wanted a counter top Kitchen aid mixer for maybe 30 years. It has a workhorse engine that sounds and works every bit as strong as a work horse! I couldn't give it five stars because the insignia band is already beginning to work loose after just owning the Mixer for less than one month.
