This is our second mixer. We took our old one to the lake to enjoy there. These mixers are workhorses. We have attachments that allow me to do all sorts of things with food. You have a great product.

Maybe I have a "lemon", but it's kind of noisy (not just whirring, but kind of clunking at times); there are pockets that, while mixing, just don't get incorporated - so I have to hand mix them in before they are part of the "mixture", which to me kind of defeats the purpose of having a mechanical mixer; as suggested, I hand wash the components, which is kind of time consuming. The best thing about it is that it looks beautiful on my granite countertop when NOT in use. Aesthetically, it's a very beautiful tool.
Pros: Looks beautiful, easy to use
Cons: pockets of mixtures don't get incorporated, have to handwash components, sounds clunky sometimes

My Mom had a KitchenAid stand mixer, and growing up I had the benefit of using it! So happy to finally have one of my own and in a bigger size. I think the 5-quart is great size for people who bake often and for small groups of people.
I know there are people out there who question whether or not they will get enough use out of a stand mixer. I say, yes if you're a baker or someone who loves to cook. Look for ways you can use your mixer, and THROW AWAY those old beaters sitting in your kitchen drawer!
