I am relatively new to cooking and definitely new to baking. I had been making do with a hand mixer and never really enjoyed using it. Several episodes of mashed potatoes or dry ingredients careening around the room! So I treated myself to a new Kitchenaid for Christmas. Due to the price, I vowed to use it frequently. I love it! No more mashed potatoes flying across the room with the shield that keeps ingredients where they belong--in the bowl. A motor strong enough to beat through heavy dough. A unique beater-bowl system that is so much better than the two-beater system I had before. Now I'm baking cookies every week and looking for more ways to use my Christmas president. Really, no muss, easy to clean, powerful, and versatile. I'm thinking of trying out some attachments, next.

I received this for Christmas and love it. I have made bread, cakes, and brownies so far. I purchase the cookbook and already have a selection of things I want to try. I plan on buying the pasta roller and cutter. Then I can make homemade noodles.
