Overall, I enjoy using my Kitchenaid Artisan mixer. The paddle rotation eliminates having to scrape the bowl. However, it is hard to add ingredients, without using the mixer shield, due to the bowl design. I had been accustomed to using a larger, Professional series model prior to this purchase.Thus, my issue with the bowl size is a matter of personal preference. I would still recommend this mixer to others. Compared to other mixer brands, the design, appearance, and power cannot be matched.

This is a great mixer. Does really well with my pizza dough. The first time I used it, there was a grayish residue on my cookie dough from the bowl. I went to the kitchenaid web site and they said this was not unusual, just clean it good with Bar Keepers Friend. I did that several times and it finally all came off. Well worth the effort.
