Ever since I was a little girl, back in the 1950's, I have wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer. I remember being at Grandma's country home, with the smell and the sound of the mixer combined with her wonderful cake batter. I've had other mixers--the last one, I found a long screw dropped in my cookie batter! I know that will never happen with my KitchenAid. It is a powerful mixer, a dream to use, and my inspiration for new and challenging receipes. Now, to the kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooking is now so easy. Whipped cream in a snap. You will always be successful in meringues. I really prefer the tilt-head to the lift head of the 6 Quart stand Mixer

I got this mixer for Christmas love it,have wanted one for so long.The ice cream attachment is great,make ice cream 2or 3 times a week.My husband loves it also I cook more,mix up everything in it. I got the red.Very happy with it.

My husband let me pick whatever KitchenAid I wanted for Mother's Day this year, and after reviewing the features and pros and cons of this type versus the more powerful lift bowl or tilt mixers, I concluded this should be fine. It is awesome and I've already made cookies, bread, pancakes, and scrambled eggs with it. It's easy to use and does so much! I like that you can tip it back and let the mixer blade drip right back in as you scrap the bowl.
