We bought the mixer after we were married, and have been in love with it ever since. It has been a year and it still whips and mixes everything perfectly. Can't go wrong with this! There are different sizes to the bowls, just make sure you get one that fits your needs. The 5 quart fits perfectly for our selves and for entertainment food making purposes, but there is a size bigger that I know a friend has and she bakes dozens of cookies for fundraisers and stuff. Just keep that in mind.

I've always wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer and this model is perfect for me. I received it and the meat grinder attachment as gifts. I use the grinder to make, for example, ham salad and cranberry salad. I normally make them with an old hand grinder but KitchenAid works so much better with way less mess! I have my eye on more attachments but first I want to get the cover to keep it clean between uses. I couldn't be happier!

This was a Christmas gift from my mom; I had never considered getting one until I tried making cookies with the hand mixer I had for seven years...after half the bowl of cookie dough splattered across my kitchen she said "It's time for a real mixer!". She wasn't kidding either!! This mixer is everything I remember about the mixers my mother and grandmother used in their kitchens! I leave mine out on the counter for ease of use, and all I have to do is dump in my ingredients and slide to the power level I want! It's amazing...I love the tilt feature, and surprisingly, I love the bowl shield; it's a great addition for mess free baking with the kids. Couldn't be any happier!!
