I had gone several years with an old hand mixer after my counter top one died -- after 20 plus years. I really love how well and quickly it mixes. I have done quite a bit of holiday baking with it and am so pleased I bought it before the holidays rather than asking for it as a Christmas gift.

A Welcome Gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bake hundreds of cookies during the holidays, and at various times throughout the year. I have always mixed the batter by hand, with a wooden spoon. I received this as an early Christmas gift and put it right to work. It definitely made my mixing quicker, more thorough, and less tiring. I would like to make note that the motor noise was louder than expected, and I did notice that the motor seemed a little strained with the thicker dough.
