I don't know why I was waiting so long the get me one of those. Haven't used the unit too often yet but from what I've experienced so far it beats manual labor :-). I wished though that even a unit of these size (size was the main reason for buying the Artisan) would have a little more power. I did bread dough and used only have of the max recommended cups of flour but the Artisan was working hard. I am positively surprised by the low noise level.

Great product. I didn't know what I was missing in my life till I've got the Kitchen Aid mixer! It whips to a perfection! And the choc. chip cookies... out of this world!! I don't think it is even possible to make things any better.

And it has made cooking a baking a total dream. Cleanup is fast and easy, it's quiet and powerful...I am fully satisfied with my KitchenAid mixer!

I purchased the Artisan Tilt-Head Mixer when I retired because I planned to bake more, especially more bread. This mixer has proven it’s worth many times over. In fact our adult son also purchased the same mixer and we are enjoying sharing recipe ideas.
